slowcast.net is a slow TV player for the browser. You pick a curated video channel — sports, gaming, movies, atmosphere, festivals — and optionally layer YouTube or Spotify music underneath. One screen, two layers: something calm to look at, and something calm to listen to.

The idea is simple. Instead of juggling tabs for a long YouTube stream in one window and a lofi playlist in another, you get both in a single retro TV-style interface. Switch the visual vibe without killing the music. Swap radios without resetting the channel. Stay in the flow.

It is built as a free alternative to ambient study and cafe apps like Studyverse, Lofi Cafe, I Miss My Cafe, LifeAt, lofi.co, and Flocus. Those apps nail the cozy vibe; slowcast.net leans into slow television — marathon coverage of ordinary scenes and nostalgic footage — plus the music layer you already know from YouTube and Spotify.

Here is what the player looks like: channels on the left, the TV in the center, music radios on the right, and a compact audio bar along the bottom.
